NORTH JACKSON Funeral services will be held on Thursday at 10:30 a.m. at St. John Greek Orthodox Church, with Father Thomas Constantine officiating for Lucille M. Matsouris, 67, who entered into rest Monday morning at the Cleveland Clinic, surrounded by her husband and children.
Lucille was born Sept. 17, 1942, in Youngstown, the daughter of the late John and Marie (Stabilito) Carter.
A 1960 graduate of South High School, Lucille was also a homemaker and a legal secretary for various law firms.
She was a member of St. Johns Greek Orthodox Church.
She enjoyed the time she spent with her family, and loved working outdoors.
Lucille will be sadly missed by the many people in her life, especially her husband, William Matsouris, whom she married Jan. 12, 1969; her son, William (Cynthia) Matsouris Jr. of Canfield; daughters, Denise (Mark) Mijavec of Howland, Melanie Matsouris of North Jackson and Mandy (David) Ulicney of Austintown. She also leaves a sister, JoAnn Sicilian of Liberty and her six grandchildren, William, Samuel, Alexandra, Nicholas, Isabella and Christopher.
Besides her parents, Lucille was preceded in death by a brother, John Carter.
The family will receive family and friends from 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the Vaschak-Kirila Funeral Home, 3100 Canfield Road, where there will be a prayer service at 7 p.m., and on Thursday from 10 to 10:30 a.m. at St. John Greek Orthodox Church.
